Eric C. Fierro, Sr.
(January 27, 1963 – December 18, 2024)
On December 18, 2024, Eric C. Fierro, Sr., age 61, left this world to rejoice in heaven with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Eric, lovingly known by his family and friends as “Amor,” “Papa,” “Apa,” “Clapton” and “Estrada” was a cherished figure in the lives of those who knew him. A man of warmth, wit, and unwavering love, Eric leaves behind a legacy of laughter and kindness.
Throughout his life, Eric touched the hearts of many with his infectious smile and generous spirit. Whether spending time with his family, hosting a cook-out for football games and holidays, sharing a joke with friends, the countless “Papaisms” that the kids would repeat back to us parents/tios/tias, or enjoying the simple pleasures of life like piddling in the yard, dancing, singing with the granddaughters and spoiling them to no end, playing basketball and football with the grandsons, Eric always knew how to make every moment special.
Eric is survived by his Amor, Anna of 24 years, his children Michael Fritz Garza (Laurissa), of Ozona, Texas, Eric James Garza, of Ozona, Texas, and grandchildren, Drew Ezra and Brystol Faith Garza (Michael), Cyndah Deanne Lacy (Eric), of San Angelo, Owen Michael and Marlee Margaret Garza (Eric), of San Angelo, Caroline Arabella, Amaya Elise, and Emilia Shaylene Fierro (Eric Jr. and Keyla) of Bovina, Texas, Elpidio “Nune” Jr. and Belinda Martinez (brother-in-law), of Ozona, Texas; Eligio Martinez, (brother in-law), of Ozona, Texas, Erika Fierro Galvan (daughter) and Derek Fierro (son), of San Antonio, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric. C. Fierro, Jr. and his parents, Macolvio and Anadelia Fierro, of Ozona, Texas.
A small, private graveside service will be held at a later date, with details to be shared with loved ones in due time.
Eric will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched.
“You took my heart with you, Mi Amor. Hold it close to you until I see you again.”
Love you forever, Anna.
