Charles Vincent (Vince) Huffman
Vince Huffman passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024. He was born January 4, 1958 to Charles and Betty Huffman in Cleburne, Texas and the family moved to Ozona when Vince was in first grade. Vince graduated from Ozona High School in 1976 and began a 48 year career in the family busi-ness, Crockett Automotive, also known as “NAPA” to his customers.
On August 13, 1983 he married Karen Kirby and on December 23, 1986 became the proud father of Hilary Paige Huffman. He and Karen followed Hilary all over Texas sup-porting her and her team-mates and friends in every-thing from 4-H to basket-ball, track, tennis, and cheerleading. He cherished their vacations to the beach, snow skiing, and trips to the Devils River. He was the ultimate “girl dad.”
Vince was known for his generosity and big heart, always wanting to help others any way he could. He served on the Chamber of Commerce board and was a longtime member of the Crockett County Deer-fest. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Ozona. His life was blessed by his many amazing friends and they enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips and shooting events over the years. He dearly loved his friends and they loved him right back.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Betty and his grandparents. Left to cher-ish his memory are Karen, Hilary, of San Angelo, brother Edward (Bubs), of Ozona, and Jerry Cantu (his right hand man and honorary family member), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his cherished friends.
Graveside services will be held at Cedar Hill Ceme-tery on Saturday July 20, 2024 at 10 a.m.
Honorary pall bearers are Ken Stokes, Sol Stokes, Dave Wilson, Stefan Wil-son, Dalan Wilson, and John L. Henderson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity or organization of your choice.
