Mark Wayne Marshall

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Wayne Marshall, born on August 27, 1967, in Crane, Texas, and a long-time resident of Ozona, Texas. He died peacefully in his sleep on September 18, 2026, after a long and hard battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones.

Mark was a man who loved his family fiercely. As a husband to Connie and a father to Kenneth, Catlin, and Desiree, he spent his life doing everything he could to support the people he loved, whether that was being a truck driver or a mechanic. He worked hard, made sacrifices, and did his best to make sure his family was taken care of. Providing for and standing by his family was something he took seriously, and the love he had for them was at the heart of everything he did.

In his free time, he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including spending time at the casino. He loved the excitement, the atmosphere, and the opportunity to simply have a good time. He also had a creative side and enjoyed drawing, giving him a quiet way to express himself and spend time doing something he enjoyed.

But more than anything else, Mark will be remembered for the way he made people feel. He had a personality that was impossible to ignore and a presence that was impossible to forget. He could make you laugh when you needed it most, keep a room entertained, and turn an ordinary moment into a memory.

Mark is survived by his wife, Connie; his children, Kenneth, Catlin [Katherine], and Desiree [Darius]; his mother, Joanne Marshall Dennis; his siblings, Joe [Kathy] Marshall, Angie [David] Hobbs, and Matthew [Michelle] Marshall; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Ray Marshall. His family remains connected to his memory through the many moments they shared and the love that continues beyond his lifetime.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Shannon Cancer Center, ExcelaCare Hospice, and our wonderful community for the care, compassion, love, and support shown to Mark and our family throughout these very tough years.

Your kindness, prayers, visits, calls, and helping hands brought comfort to us during a very difficult time. We are forever thankful for each of you who touched Mark’s life and helped make his journey a little easier.
