Forsan, Sonora and Reagan earn Week 3 wins

San Angelo—Forsan remained unbeaten, Sonora earned a two-score win and Reagan County outlasted Miles in double overtime as UIL Class 2A Division I, District 4 teams continued non-district football play during the Sept. 11–12 weekend.

District 4-2A Division I includes Ballinger, Christoval, Colorado City, Forsan, Ozona, Reagan County and Sonora. 

Sonora tops Eldorado

Sonora defeated Eldorado 40–20 in a non-district game Friday, Sept. 11. The Broncos scored 40 points in the home victory.

Reagan County survives double overtime

Reagan County defeated Miles 45–43 in double overtime Friday night in Miles.

The Owls tied the game at 43–43 on a Weston Beck touchdown in the second overtime. Reagan County then converted a two-point pass to Dominic Johnson to secure the road win. 

Junction edges Ozona

Junction defeated Ozona 37–32 on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Eagle Stadium in Junction. 

McCamey handles Christoval

McCamey defeated Christoval 46–20 in the teams’ Sept. 11 non-district matchup.

Merkel tops Colorado City

Merkel defeated Colorado City 53–27. 

Early blanks Ballinger

Early defeated Ballinger 34–0 in a Sept. 11 homecoming game. The Longhorns improved to 3–0 and held Ballinger, which entered the game undefeated, scoreless. Early totaled 387 yards of offense, 201 passing and 186 rushing.

Forsan remains unbeaten

Forsan defeated Stanton 48–22 in the Battle of the Buffaloes, improving to 3–0. Forsan led 21–7 at halftime and scored on a kickoff return, punt return and fake-field-goal double pass.
