Sept. 3, 1936
A new school room and an enlarged faculty will greet pupils of the Mexican school here at the opening of the term Monday. A new building has been added to the Mexican school equipment recently, the building being moved from Live Oak when that school was closed at the end of the past year by action of the county board. The new building has been set up on the west side of the old building, itself doubled last year to take care of increased enrollment. 
Four teachers will compose the Mexican school faculty this year Wallace Myers, a graduate of Daniel Baker College al Brownwood and a former student at T.C.U. will become principal Miss Lena Parker of Eldorado will be another new member of the faculty. Miss Hester Bunger and Miss Christine Viles, members of the last year Mexican school faculty, will complete the new faculty. With the enlarged quarters and faculty, all subjects are to be offered in the Mexican school this year, including high school subjects, Supt. C. S. Denham has announced.

Sept. 5, 1946
Ozona’s growing population is reflected in a sharp increase in enrollment in the Ozona Public Schools with the opening of the 1946 47 term here Monday morning. Enrollment figures as announced by Supt. C. S. Denham indicate an increase of 17 percent in enrollment in the grade school, a slight drop in high school enrollment and a 6 per cent increase in the Latin-American school. The overall increase in enrollment in the entire system is 11 percent, enrollment figures show. Not included in the enrollment figures is the kindergarten class which showed the heaviest gain of any class in the system, an enrollment jump of approximately 77 percent, from a total of 18 at the opening of school last year to 32 on opening day this year.

Aug. 30, 1956
Ozona football fans who like to know they will have a seat for the home games will be pleased with the announcement this week that Lions stadium will be marked off into 400 reserved seats and season tickets for the seats will go on sale next week. The reserved seats will be sold in season blocks for the six home games at the regular admission price for single games, $1 for each game, and season ticket holders will have the same seat for each game. Workmen were busy the middle of the week marking off the sections and numbering the seats.
