The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office responded to a variety of calls for service during the reporting period.

Incident Highlights:

On May 4, a deputy responded to a motor vehicle crash on Ranch Road 189, with EMS also responding. Deputies also investigated a suspicious vehicle report on Pecan Street.

On May 5, a deputy responded to a loud music complaint on Fairway Drive.

On May 6, deputies handled welfare concerns on Avenue H and IH-10.

On May 7, deputies assisted a citizen with unlocking a vehicle on 11th Street, assisted a stranded motorist on Avenue E, and responded to a loud noise complaint on Hummingbird Lane.

On May 8, deputies assisted with multiple stranded motorists and vehicle lockouts on 14th Street and IH-10. Additional calls included reports of a reckless driver on 1st Street, a suspicious person on Santa Ana Street, and a suspicious vehicle on Avenue AA.

On May 9, deputies responded to a burglary report on Swaps Street, a disturbance on Avenue A, loud noise on Avenue G, suspicious person and suspicious vehicle calls, and also assisted a citizen with unlocking a vehicle on Avenue E.

On May 10, deputies assisted multiple stranded motorists on IH-10 and responded to reports of a disturbance on Avenue A and a suspicious person on Sheffield Road.

Arrests:

On May 8, an individual from San Antonio, Texas, was arrested for Theft of Property greater than $100 and less than $750. The subject was arraigned, posted bond, and released.

Also on May 8, an individual from Houston, Texas, was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member. The subject was arraigned, posted bond, and released.

On May 10, an individual from Ozona, Texas, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct with three or more prior offenses. The subject was arraigned and remains in custody.

The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office continues to encourage residents to report suspicious activity and remains committed to serving and protecting the community.
